Sarah, our alto/second soprano, can't help singing a cappella as she is and always has been surrounded by it. Her mother was a founding member of "The Opposite Sextet" -- yes, that was really the name -- one of the original groups to participate in Spring Sing, an annual gathering of amateur a cappella groups. Her sister sings with Jersey Transit, a great mixed group based in the Princeton, NJ area. And now, the next generation has picked up the ball. Her nephew Morgan is a happenin' bass in UVA's Hullabahoos and her niece founded a group called the Larries at Lawrenceville.
When Sarah is not singing to anyone who will listen, an unusual event, she runs a media relations firm that specializes in PR for financial services companies, or she is spending time with her husband, two kids, two dogs, and two guinea pigs.
